Our culture is promoting the tolerance in all areas of our life. Things that once were considered taboo are being looked at through the lenses of tolerance; however, when it comes to the message of the gospel, the sense of tolerance is forgotten.

The marriage in our culture is not only viewed through the lenses of pleasure and degraded in the name of personal happiness. We must rely on the Word of God and how it defines the marriage from God’s perspective.

Even though the Bible has a great deal to say about the faithfulness in marriage, it is becoming more difficult today to live faithfully, in order for us to overcome this, we need to know and examine our culture. The culture itself is promoting happiness–individualized happiness–and we are seeking the happiness in another person rather than in God who is the source of all happiness.

The promises of God help us overcome adversity in our life as we face various circumstances. We must study the Word of God in order for us to come in contact with the promises of God and meditate on them. We will grow in our walk with God and help others rely on the same promises.

The promise of Redemption can be labeled us ‘MVP’–Most Valuable Promise. God promises to deliver man-kind and then provides His Son to die for our sins in order for us to be reconciled with God. If we place our faith and trust in Jesus, we then belong to God and have a personal relationship with Him.
